Mount with wash lines, very good, but could perhaps be replaced with an archival quality mount board. Provenance "Marlow 3616". [Roland Green (1890 - 1972) was an English bird artist, who produced numerous bird studies in watercolours and oils. Green remained a bachelor throughout his life, making his home in a disused drainage mill at Hickling in Norfolk. He set many of his bird paintings in the Broads, capturing some of the wild beauty of this region in his distinctive style. Many successful one man exhibitions followed in London as well as in Norwich. Green also illustrated numerous books and magazines including the five volume classic... Hand book of British Birds] Appropriately, Green has depicted this warbler on willow, though it is a species associated with young, open woodland, gardens and parkland.] There may be a need to charge a shipping fee of £25 within the UK.
